The New Year

That was so 2011

To start, I’d like to ponder on the past year with the highlights (and some lowlights) of 2011. Started off semi-decent, finally made the move to Raleigh closer to the employment. I networked and was sub-contracted with a pretty decent opportunity that helped my freelancing pickup. She helped my expand my skills and really get my hands dirty on some nifty projects. I set up my one-page strategic plan after completing my course in The Reset Agency. My goal was to make it to SXSW but it didn’t happen. Made some excellent long lasting relationships, built up others, and burnt some unnecessary bridges.

Looking forward to 2012 with small goals to achieve. After flirting with the idea of a book, I’ve decided to pull together with a colleague from college and make it happen, with her being the illustrator. A little more traveling in the future, with a highlight trip to Chicago to see my beloved Cubbies rock the Red Sox. I’m hoping to embrace the relationships I have with people and really help them help me. Turning 30 will be a challenge yet I’m hoping it to be a very defining year.

Here’s to 2012…
